Students should begin searching for and applying to positions based on the information listed below. All campus hiring managers are strongly encouraged to post jobs, 雇佣, 面试, and select candidates during the below hiring periods. This streamlined approach supports inclusive excellence goals to ensure all students understand when to search for and apply to opportunities. For the purpose of regulating hours, each 学期 will begin on the Sunday before the day the 学期 计划开始. Please note 人力资源 will be prioritizing the hiring of academic support positions through the first couple weeks of the 学期.

培训

Weeks listed as “培训” denote a period of time where student employees can work up to 20 hours per week for training purposes. 培训 weeks are meant to assist supervisors in managing the beginning of the 学期 while providing time to train students. 除了, 人力资源 will be especially equipped to assist students in completing onboarding paperwork, 包括核实I-9文件, 在此期间. Students are strongly encouraged to work with their supervisor to complete onboarding tasks with 人力资源 during this week. 

Hiring For: Fall 2024 (September 1st - December 21st)

  • Fall and Academic Year positions can now be posted in Workday 

8月1日星期四

  • All first-year students should now have access to apply for positions in Workday (once 金融援助 has been communicated) 

8月24日星期六

  • New rates from the Merit Compensation Review process will take effect

8月31日星期六

  • Hiring and onboarding should be completed in Workday 

Sunday September 1st - Saturday September 7th

  • Fall 学期 for student employment begins with 培训 Week 

  • NEW student employees can work up to 20 hours per week across all of their on-campus positions for training and orientation time 

  • Returning students can work up to 15 hours per week across all of their on-campus positions

  • 如果有必要的话, onboarding may be completed this week before students begin working in their 新 positions

9月8日星期日

  • 新生开始正常上课, and they can work up to 15 hours per week across all of their on-campus positions combined

12月21日星期六

  • Last day of Fall 学期 for student employment

  • Students must have all Fall 学期 hours submitted in Workday

Hiring For: Wintersession 2025 (December 22nd - January 18th)

  • Wintersession positions can now be posted in Workday

  • Hiring and onboarding should be completed in Workday 

12月22日星期日

  • Students are not required to work on dates the college is closed

  • Last day of Wintersession for student employment
  • Students must have all Wintersession hours submitted in Workday 
Hiring For: Spring 2025 (January 19th - May 10th)

  • Summer 学期 for student employment begins
  • New and returning student employees can work up to 40 hours per week across all of their on-campus positions combined
  • Students are not required to work on dates the college is closed 

8月23日星期六

  • Last day of Summer rate increases (if applicable)
  • New rates from the Merit Compensation Review process will take effect

8月30日星期六

  • Last day of Summer 学期 for student employment
  • Students must have all Summer 学期 hours submitted in Workday
